== 역 정보 ==
원래는 DTRO 시절 5호선의 시종착역이였으나 DTRO 분리 이후 임시 폐역되어 인천시 소유로 넘어갔었다.

장서교통공사의 선형수정 공사에 따라 시종착역이 남동역에서 도평역으로 변경되고 선학역에 추가로 정차하게 되었고, 이에 맞춰 인천3호선이 이역에서 출발하는 것을 확정하고 계획중이다.

선학Y스테이트와 구 선학차량사업소가 주변에 있다. 석해동 방면으로 750m 앞에 행정구역 경계표시가 있다.
